What happens when your Lydia card expires

When your Lydia card expires, we automatically order a new one and deliver it to your address.

How long does a Lydia card last for?

Your Lydia card can be used for three years — then, it expires. Its expiration date can be found at the back of the card. When this date comes, you won't be able to use it anymore.

When do I get my new Lydia card? ✉️

You'll get an email a month before your card expires. We'll ask you about your current postal address. Once you've confirmed it, we'll send the new card over to your home. You won't have to pay a thing.

Once you get your hands on the new card, you just have to link it to your phone then activate it.

Fulfilling your old card's destiny ✂️

Even though an expired card cannot be used, we recommend you destroy it by cutting both the card and the chip with strong scissors.
