When using Lydia to send money to someone using a credit card, the amount is immediately debited from your bank account.

Why does Lydia debits instantly?

The reason is quite simple: we have to make sure you have enough funds before actually sending the money to your contact.

Consider Lydia as a trusted third party 😉

We credit instantly, too!

If the recipient already has the app, they receive the money instantly. It is immediately credited to their Lydia account. They can therefore send it or spend it wherever they want using Lydia's payment methods.

If recipients don't accept your transfer within seven days, the transaction will automatically be cancelled and the payment method that was used will be recredited with the appropriate amount.
