Your security code is different to your log-in password, the code you use to unlock your phone and your Lydia card pin code.
Your security code is comprised of 4 digits which you define (and thus can change) every time you log in.
To validate any sensitive action, you are required to enter your security code in-app - e.g. when making a payment. It is considered to be a second authentification factor, just like entering a pin code for a card payment.
If you enter this code incorrectly three times, you will be logged out immediately and you'll have to log back in to use the app.
Changing your code
The 4-digit security code is defined every time you log in. In order to change it, you must complete the log-in process successfully. If you are already logged into the app, you can either log out or tap 'Security Code' in the 'Security' tab. Both options are accessible from the main menu in- app.
I have forgotten my security code
See above for instructions on how to change your security code.
You can replace your default security code with another method of authentification if you wish. From the 'Security' tab in-app, you can activate one of the following methods:
This method, offered by the phone manufacturer, allows Lydia to verify that the fingerprint of the person using the phone at a given moment is authorised to access the phone.
This method, offered by the phone manufacturer, allows Lydia to verify that the face of the person using the phone at a given moment is authorised to access the phone.
