How can I change the account linked to a payment method?

At any time, you can choose which Lydia account (shared account, money pot or sub-account) you want to take money from when you use your payment methods.

Simply go to the "Settings" of your payment method (Lydia card, contactless mobile payment, Internet card) in the 4th tab of the app.

Note: For a payment to go through, the balance of the account linked to the payment method must be higher than the payment amount. Otherwise the transaction will fail. To find out how to top up your account, read this article.

Lydia card 💳

To change the Lydia account from which money is taken when you pay or withdraw with the Lydia card, you simply need to:

  1. Go to the widget of your Lydia card available in the last tab of the app
  2. Click on the button under "Account to debit"
  3. Choose the new account you want to pay from

The Lydia card will take money from the account chosen for each transaction.

Contactless mobile payment 📱

All it takes is for you to...

  1. Head to the last tab of the app
  2. Click on the "Contactless" menu
  3. Select the card called "Apple Pay" "Google Pay" or "Samsung Pay"
  4. Click the button under "Account to be debited" and choose the account you want to pay from.

Your contactless payments will now be debited on this account.

Internet card🛒

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the last tab of the app
  2. Click on the "Internet cards" menu
  3. Select your Internet card
  4. Click the button under "Account to be debited” and choose the account you want to pay from.

Your online payments will now be debited on this account.

Can I change the account I pay from after a transaction?

If you have used the wrong account, you can always change it afterwards.
